Carnival Cruise Line

Capacity: 2974 (double occupancy)
Builder: Fincantieri - Marghera, Italy
This is an additional Conquest class vessel ordered as part of a four-ship deal with Fincantieri, two of which ended up going to the Carnival brand. As a Conquest-class, it will not fit through the Panama Canal.

Carnival Splendor (more info)

Size: GRT: 112,000
Capacity: 3006 (double occupancy)
Builder: Fincantieri - Italy
This is the fourth ship of a four-ship order from Fincantieri, two of which ended up going to the Carnival brand. While it is a Conquest-class vessel, it will have some unique features for the Carnival brand adding 2,000 gross tons to the volume. The most notable is a retractable dome over the mid-ship pool, the first for Carnival. It will also have the largest spa aboard any Carnival vessel (1,780 square feet) and the line's first thalasso therapy pool and the largest Camp Carnival facilities (5,500 square feet) above which there will be a new water play area.

Carnival Dream

This ship will be a completely new design for Carnival, although not the Pinnacle Project about which there has been so much talk. Carnival says that is firmly on the back burner, but still planned for some future date.

This will be Celebrity's first post-Panamax vessel. It will be powered by a diesel-electric podded propulsion system and meet 2009 stability standards. It will also make use of numerous new technologies for energy savings.

Cunard

Queen Victoria

Builder: Fincantieri - Marghera, Italy
This ship will be similar to HAL's line of Vista-class vessels, but with Cunard's own twists in the design and slightly larger. It will be built to Panamax standards, so it can be used in both the Atlantic and Pacific. 86% of the cabins will be outside, 71% of those with private verandahs. In September 2004 the design was enlarged as part of an order of four other ships from Fincantieri. It was originally slated for 88,000 tons and a capacity of 1968. Eleven meters were added to the length raising the tonnage to 90,000 and increasing the capacity to 2000, but the ship will still be able to transit the Panama Canal.

This ship will be a progression from Noordam, but it's distinct enough that Carnival Corp says they consider it a new class of vessel, and HAL has settled on the designation, Signature-class for the series. The ship will be sized to fit through the Panama Canal and feature a new restaurant deck, more verandah staterooms and new entertainment venues.
